Eco Farms is honored to be a charter member of the Maryland Organic Growers Cooperative, a group of 13 certified organic farms in Maryland dedicated to promoting support for organic farming, educating the public about the benefits of organic farming, demonstrating the viability of organic farming as a family business, and increasing the number of acres currently farmed organically in Maryland.

To receive Maryland State Organic Certification, Eco Farms had to petition the state to review its operation and conduct a series of inspections of the fields, facilities, plants and materials used in growing. The state also takes plant materials and soil samples for testing in its laboratories. After successfully passing all the tests and requirements, Eco Farms earned the rights to use the Maryland State Organic Certification on all of their produce, plants, herbs, and flowers. Eco Farms is proud to be one of only a select few farms in the state of Maryland that has been certified organic.
